the ALAC position was articulated in a public discussion at the
ICANN meeting in Prague, but also in meetings of the ALT with David
Olive on the Friday morning ALT session wrap-up. The position is as
you stated. Comment + Reply did not work out and Staff was to try
several different types of comment periods, which is what they did.<br>
<br>
I note with interest that Staff are putting together a staff-led
Team and I gather someone from At-Large, probably Ariel, should
definitely be part of this.<br>

Public Input Advisory
Team pulling in representatives from different staff

perspectives. I am hopeful that we’ll be able to
incorporate input and
collaboration opportunities with community members to
make that a practical,
useful and valuable effort. If you or any member of
community would be
interested in contributing to such an effort, please
drop me a line. We
hope to get the group together at least once before
the ICANN55 Marrakech
