exactly. No need for fuss. One more step: first they have to get "recognized" by the UN and its Statistics Division as a separate geographical entity. 

Now of course if they don't like what ISO gives them they can always start a war (or purchase) for the annexation of the Seychelles.

That would elevate the phrase "Domain Name Wars" to a whole new level.

Enough Friday evening speculation?

maybe:

ISO gives them a nice 2 letter code to go along with their 3 letter code
SCT.

and then they get a ccTLD from IANA and join the GAC.
