The term originated with the North American RALO which has had individual
members who are <u>unaffiliated with any ALS</u>. In the NARALO rules,
they are referred to as "unaffiliated individuals", but once
they join NARALO, the term "unaffiliated member" has been
used.<br><br>
You are correct that "unaffiliated member" is somewhat of a
contradiction in that members are implicitly "affiliated" with
the group of which they are a member. It has never been mentioned before,
but perhaps it needs to be rethought as we move to having such a category
in all RALOs.<br><br>

accepted as the individual member of apralo. Then they said I become an
observer cause apralo didn't accept indivudal members and didn't have the
rules in place . now an unaffiliated member ... Unafiliated member
is an oxymoron however you want to define it. Voting non voting member.
