Dear all,

Greetings from APRALO!

This is an update on the next steps for the APRALO GA, and is particularly relevant for member ALSes.

1. Theme of the GA
APRALO was formed in the 2007-08 period, and we will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary during the GA. Consistent with the APRALO tagline of "Celebrating Diversity", APRALO LT has decided that the theme for the GA and related events at ICANN60 is "A Decade of Diversity".

2. Formation of Advisory Committee
On the occasion of the tenth Anniversary of APRALO, the APRALO LT, after consulting some of our past and present leaders, has decided to constitute an Advisory Committee that would advise, critique and support the Leadership Team in executing the activities of the GA. Membership of this committee will be by invitation.

The members of the AC are those leaders who have, in the last decade, contributed to building APRLAO to what it's today, and include past APRALO Chairs, former ALAC representatives from APRALO, and Board members from the AP Community. The following are currently the members of the Advisory Committee:

 1. Charles Mok
 2. Cheryl Langdon-Orr
 3. Edmon Chung
 4. Fouad Bajwa
 5. Hong Xue
 6. Izumi Aizu
 7. Karaitiana Taiuru
 8. Kuo-Wei Wu
 9. Mahmoud Lattouf
10. Rajnesh Singh
11. Rinalia Abdul Rahim
12. Salanieta Tamanikaiwaimaro
13. Siranush Vardanyan
14. V.C. Vivekanandan
15. YJ Park

We would like to once again welcome these senior community leaders to the APRALO GA process!

3. Capacity Building Survey
The Programme Subcommittee headed by Holly Raiche has started its work. Staff will be shortly forwarding a Survey that will ascertain the preferences of ALSes for Capacity Building activities prior to the GA. All ALS representatives are requested to respond to this survey.

4. APRALO Showcase
The Organizing Subcommittee headed by Maureen has started work planning the APRALO showcase, which, as mentioned, will be around the theme of a "Decade of Diversity". Maureen will be in touch with more details.

5. ALS Liaison Activities
The Outreach Subcommittee headed by Lianna Galstyan will be shortly be in touch with ALS representatives for several tasks. As announced earlier, APRALO will be funding the travel of one representative per active ALS (by default, the Primary Contact) to the GA. Active ALSes will be identified on the basis of their participation in policy development, presence in Monthly Calls, response to surveys, membership in subcommittees/WGs, and other similar indicators.

6. Mailing Lists of Subcommittees
Individual mailing lists are being set up for the four Subcommittees (Program, Organization, Finance and Outreach), and members who have volunteered earlier will be added to these lists.

Hope to see you online on these activities...!

With kind regards,

satish
