Dear Nadira, thank you for your interest in mentorship approach. As Maureen mentioned, we will develop cleat process in the upcoming strategy and all those who will express their interest, will become part of this. We need people like you in APRALO.

With that I also woyld like to thank all those who expressed their support to the current leadership team and also second the nominations of Holly and Ali to continue serving in their respective roles.

Thanks

Siranush

Thank you all for a really good discussion.
Yes, there must be a call for nominations. And absolutely yes, we need volunteers and change. That said, we also need a process - mentorship - so that more people can gain the kind of experience that makes us all effective in the role. So for those who are putting themselves forward - terrific.

I appreciate if you can elaborate on the mentorship program and how to show interest for it.

Exactly Nadira..and it is why we are opening up for nominations for those who feel they can step up and lead. At the same time the leadership team are offering mentorships for those who would like to shadow one of the team leaders for a year to "learn the ropes" for a future leadership role.None of us took up a leadership role in our first or even second year of active At-Large engagement. Five years down the track, Im still learning. :)Maureen

+1 to Fouad, even if no one showed interest for the time being, but will help promote the continuation of the healthy practices of the current APRALO leadership and their sense of community engagement.

I believe the election process should be open whereby a call should be

send out to all of APRALO membership to see if newer people are

interested in the roles available. Given way and giving opportunity to

new is also a key aspect of effective and good leadership.

I would recommend that the positions be continuously announced on the

APRALO list and invite nominations and an election be carried out.
