Thank you Fouad and the APRALO community.

I am very proud and honoured to be able to take on this role on behalf of
APRALO. 

It was not an easy election standing against a colleague who has been a
great support to me during my introduction to ICANN, as well as at IGFs in
the past. 

I also thank Sala for her congratulations and for her past representation of
the Pacific/APRALO on the ALAC. 

Thank you to the APRALO community for your support and encouragement, and I
truly hope that I can justify your faith in my ability to deliver on your
behalf on the ALAC.

A very big congratulations to Maureen Hilyard for being elected to the ALAC.
She is both a very competent and socially active personality and will
definitely be able to represent APRALO effectively on the ALAC as well as
significantly contribute to its work.

I wish her good luck and success in her endeavors on ALAC. Your presence and
leadership will also help organize the APRALO component of the possible ALS
Summit in London next year!
