We may take this into account for our next chance in prioritizing our
agenda.

Subject: [ALAC] ALAC policy briefings at future meetings
ALAC members,
I welcome the opportunity to convey policy interests and positions from
the At Large to the Board. Unfortunately, Board members came away from
their meeting with ALAC with a sense that the ALAC focused primarily on
procedural issues rather than prioritizing policy discussion.
If ALAC wants to say that it has not heard user concern or cannot find
evidence of individual Internet user interests on policy matters, that
is fine, but if the group is engaged in policy discussions, even those
in progress, I get the sense that Board members would prefer to get a
briefing on such issues than to hear procedural debates or be asked to
answer questions.
Thanks,
--Wendy
