In our pre-ICANN discussion with ICANN's President and CEO, Göran Marby,
Maureen and I raised the issue of ATLAS III and the need to both begin
our detailed planning and for a commitment from ICANN to allow the
Meetings Team to make commitments for both meeting and hotel
space.<br><br>
As some of you may have seen, he replied earlier this week. His letter is
attached here and is posted to the ICANN Correspondence page
(<a href="https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/correspondence" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">
https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/correspondence</a>).<br><br>
His reply was <b><u>very</u></b> supportive.<br><br>
I have now responded to his letter and a copy is attached.<br><br>
Our challenge is to now to organize and run a fantastic ATLAS that will
meet the expectations we have set and for which we have received such a
strong vote of confidence.<br><br>
