<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">The GAC, meeting at ICANN62 in Panama, has today appointed a Liaison to the ALAC. My counterpart will be Ana Cristina Neves, the GAC Representative from Portugal.</p>

<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">This appointment, in my view, reflects the appreciation by the GAC of cooperation with the ALAC , and will no doubt greatly improve the preparation and follow-up of our joint meetings.</p>
