We do have gender balance in the ALT overall (or as much balance as you

can have with 5 people) and that was one of my main targets. Although

balance in the V-Cs would be good for optics, it does not really impact

the decision process. V-Cs commit to a higher level of work, but all ALT

members are treated equally in terms of discussion and decisions (when

there are decisions, which is not that often).<br><br>

In this particular case, both Veronica and Holly had time constraints

which prevented them from taking on the extra load, and I am just

grateful that they accepted to ALT position at all. Veronica in

particular has just taken on a new role at home, one that was not

expected when she decided to take on the ALAC Member position, and I was

worried it might impact her decision to accept the ALT role. And both

Tijani and León have a great history of tireless work on behalf of

At-Large and ICANN!<br><br>

preference is to focus on the At-Large Review as she would not have the

time to do justice to both simultaneously. I will honor that and hereby

name LeÃ³n Sanchez and Tijani Ben Jemaa as ALAC Vice-Chairs for the
