Dear friends, I am sending this email to inform you that we have happily
advanced in LACRALO in our internal laws, the New Rules of Procedure have
been approved, this is another great step forward than taking the region.
Now it remains to resolve the adaptability of our metric rules to the new
laws already approved.
I must congratulate here all those who got involved in the LACRALO
Governance Working Group. as well as David Plumb who helped us to resolve
the internal conflicts of LACRALO in a first stage (these are already part
of the history) and in this new stage to be able to reach deep subregional
agreements.
Now is the time to delve further into the Working Group participation
model, involving the community more strongly in ICANN policy issues from
the perspective of LAC internet users.
Today several groups are in action: Governance, Communication, IDN (who is
the one that carries out the activities of Universal Acceptance), LACRALO
WG Domains and their relationship with Users (who have taken up the issue
of DNS Abuse).
We hope shortly to have other working groups that can draw the attention of
our colleagues in the region and put some ALSs (which have been dormant for
a long time) into action!
I send you happy for this news a big hug from Argentina!
