Community Leaders' call with ICANN org on next steps for selecting the IRP
Standing Panel)

Many thanks Mary ..

I would appreciate looping in GAC vice chairs in case I’m not able to
attend, sharing the compiled summary and doodle poll .. Please let me know
if you want me to do that ..

That said, I just want to clarify that I have supported the essence of the
feedback provided by Rod, Keith and Maureen, that is SSAC, GNSO & ALAC ..
The feedback received from the Katrina (ccNSO) came in later and is
slightly different .. So Just to set the record right, appreciate changing
ccNSO to SSAC in the summary for the sake of accuracy ..

Kind Regards

--Manal

Standing Panel)

Dear Donna and everyone,

Thank you for the feedback and I apologize for the short notice for many as
regards the proposed call. If it will help, ICANN org has compiled the
feedback we received from various SOAC Chairs, which I attach for your
convenient reference. In addition, and as you may know already, community
feedback (e.g. from the ccNSO, GNSO Council, IPC, NCSG and RySG) was
uploaded to the IRP Standing Panel wiki space here:
https://community.icann.org/display/ESPFIRP/Relevant+Documents?preview=/95095469/126431359/CommunityFeedbackEstablishingStandingPanel_31March2020.pdf
(along with other information relating to the setting up of the IRP
Standing Panel here:
https://community.icann.org/display/ESPFIRP/Establishment+of+Standing+Panel+for+Independent+Review+Process+Home).

As noted previously, if you are not able to attend the call, we encourage
you to send your Vice-Chair(s) or other designated representative. If,
however, the group prefers to hold a call when everyone is available,
please let me know and we will circulate a new poll for a time immediately
following the closing date for Expressions of Interest to join the IRP
Standing Panel (31 July).

Thank you all for your patience and understanding!

Cheers

Mary

on next steps for selecting the IRP Standing Panel

Hi Mary

While I’m more than happy to get on a call to discuss, it’s the first
communication that I’ve received about the subject so I expect that your
hopes that the group will be able “to reach agreement as to whether and how
to proceed with forming a small representative group of community members
that can assist with selecting the Independent Review Process (IRP)
Standing Panel, based on the community’s previous feedback” might be a
little optimistic.

Could I ask that all previous correspondence and notes from calls on this
topic that the SO/AC leaders may have had be provided to the list to ensure
we have the most up-to-date information.

Thanks

Donna

*Subject:* Doodle poll for Community Leaders' call with ICANN org on next
steps for selecting the IRP Standing Panel

Dear community leaders,

Following up on previous discussions with and among the SOAC Chairs, and
adding the Chairs of the GNSO’s Stakeholder Groups and Constituencies at
Keith’s request, please be so kind as to fill out this Doodle poll for a
possible call later this week or early next week:
https://www.doodle.com/poll/cbtvmtfddrwt8tph
<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.doodle.com/poll/cbtvmtfddrwt8tph__;!!N14HnBHF!q1uUwNcnnkBmH0fFz8H0hjEl_cgwpjumvHju44I2VFq3FGyYZX5kSr1Mo5oAipkp2NBH$>.

We hope that the call will allow the group to reach agreement as to whether
and how to proceed with forming a small representative group of community
members that can assist with selecting the Independent Review Process (IRP)
Standing Panel, based on the community’s previous feedback, and how ICANN
org can assist with that effort. We will also be happy to answer any
additional questions you may have about the selection process and the
respective roles of the ICANN Board and the SOs and ACs. As a reminder, the
call for Expressions of Interest to be considered as a member of the IRP
Standing Panel opened on 31 March 2020 and will close on 31 July:

If you are not able to attend the call, we invite you to ask your
Vice-Chair(s) or other representative to attend in your place. We can also
record the call as well as take notes for your convenient reference. Thank
you!

Cheers

Mary
