Olivier, thank you for this. Indeed, the end 
product is not meetings in exotic (or dull!) 
places, but to get the community involved.

But I do want to add one caution regarding "But 
you know, only part of the deal has gone through so far: the funding".

What we have done is remove the need to justify 
the GAs and Summits time after time. The actual 
funding will be contingent of budget issues and 
is not guaranteed any more than other items are 
funded prior to budget approval.

However, given "reasonable" overall ICANN budgets, we should b in good shape.
