Good news indeed, ICANN board being practical and trying to avoid delays to the transition. 

Hopefully this position can lead CWG towards adopting IETF/CRISP proposals for IETF Trust as a neutral third party to hold IANA IPR which can be then licensed to ICANN as IANA operator.
