>Subject: NETMundial Initiative: candidacy for Coordination Council.
>Hello Chair & Members of the ALAC,
>as you are aware, the NETMundial Initiative has launched a call for
>nominations to its Coordination Council,
>As a recent member of the ALAC (2010-12, again 2012-14), I am
>writing to request the endorsement of the ALAC for my candidacy to
>serve on the Coordination Council of the NETMundial Initiative. I
>have filled in the online form (see screen capture, ecnlosed). I
>feel that my current service on the ICG, due to last till the Autumn
>of 2015, could add value to the NETMundial Coordination Council.
>In addition to the ALAC, I have sought endorsements from EURALO and
>ISOC-San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
>If my request is acceptable to the ALAC, I would be grateful if you
>Alan, as Chair, would be so kind as to send me a brief endorsement,
>in .txt or .pdf format, so that I may finalize my candidacy
>(submission deadline is 6th of December 2014).
>As a candidate from Civil Society, and if selected to join the
>Coordination Council, I would of course bring to this task the
>experience gained as a member of ICANN Board for 3 years, a member
>of the ALAC for 4, and currently as member of the ICG. My
>professional experience in positions of responsibility as a diplomat
>and as an involved Netizen would also serve in good stead.
