<p>The LAC DNS Forum brings together industry, Internet policy and technical professionals interested in debating DNS-related issues. It's also a good opportunity to engage and network with key players and experts in the field.</p>
<p>The forum is open to anyone interested in issues pertaining to the domain name industry and the business opportunities it can provide. The target audience includes:</p>

<p>This is the third edition of the LAC DNS Forum, first held in Buenos Aires in 2013. Due to the decision to
<a href="https://www.icann.org/news/blog/presenting-our-mitigation-plan-for-latin-america-and-the-caribbean">
relocate ICANN56 and ICANN57</a>, the forum will be held for the first time outside an ICANN meeting. ICANN CEO Göran Marby will be participating.</p>
<p>The III LAC DNS Forum will be part of the Dominican Republic's Internet Week, marking the 25<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the delegation of the .do domain. Internet Week runs from 22–25 August.</p>
<p>The event is jointly organized by the Catholic University (<em>Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra</em>) with the
<a href="http://www.nic.do/">domain registry office of .do</a>, the <a href="http://www.lacnic.net/">
Latin American and Caribbean Address Registry</a> (LACNIC), the <a href="https://www.lactld.org/en/">
Latin American and Caribbean ccTLDs Organization</a> (LACTLD), the <a href="http://www.internetsociety.org/node/511292">
Dominican Republic Chapter of the Internet Society</a>, the <a href="http://indotel.gob.do/">
Telecommunications Dominican Institute</a> (INDOTEL) and the <a href="https://www.icann.org/">
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers</a> (ICANN).</p>
