[ALAC-Announce] NOW OPEN: ALAC Vote on ALS Applications February 2011

Dear All,

The Chair of the ALAC, Olivier Crépin-Leblond, asked the Staff to start a
five-day ALAC vote on the two ALS applications ready for approval. An email
with background information on the applications was sent to the
ALAC-internal list earlier today.

Members of the ALAC received an email with their voting credentials a couple
of minutes ago. After you have submitted your vote online, you should
receive an email confirmation. Please inform staff at atlarge.icann.org if you
do not receive a confirmation so that we can check whether your vote has
been recorded. Also, if you are experiencing technical problems and are
unable to vote online, you can send us an email. As long as you send us your
votes before the close of the vote, we can add them as paper ballot votes.

The question to be put will be the following:

Should the regional advice from AFRALO for applicant (139) Binary Egypt be
rejected? The regional advice was to REJECT the application.

With possible answers:

ACCEPT the regional advice and do NOT accredit this ALS
REJECT the regional advice and accredit this ALS
Abstain

Should the regional advice from APRALO for applicant (146) Cook Islands
Internet Action Group be rejected? The regional advice was to ACCEPT the
application.

With possible answers:

ACCEPT the regional advice and accredit this ALS
REJECT regional advice and do NOT accredit this ALS
Abstain

The Vote will remain open until Tuesday, 22 February at 2359 UTC.

Please note that the votes are on separate pages and not linked to each
other. This allows you to submit your votes at different times.

There is a link entitled ³See who voted² at the bottom of the voting page,
which allows you to see who has voted so far.
