<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">I would like to call for my fellow members of the community to believe in the cause that I stand for my candidacy. When I attended my first ICANN meeting as a fellow in 2014, the only thing
 I was able to take back was that the entire community comes from a different culture, language, race, color and ethnicity. However, one thing we all agreed and understood was that internet transcends all those barriers and that it is our universal language.
 I would like to dedicate my time and passion within the AFRALO through my Vice Chair position, to bring about the diversity and inclusiveness for all of our community members. Despite many efforts, African participation in the Internet governance and contribution
 to Internet issues has been limited. I believe with my passion and dedication together with the support from the community members we can continue the professional work of representing the Internet end users in Africa in the policy work within ICANN.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">Through our ALS I have worked with the ICANN global stakeholder engagement team in conducting a number of outreach programs and have assisted other African countries in setting
 up their national IGF chapters. </span><span style="font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">I was recently selected as an AFRALO representative to the New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Sub Team – Track 5 – Geographic Names at the Top, am also a member of Outreach
 & Engagement Working group and Social Media Working Group. I understand that this role will require a lot of my time and dedication and I would like to pledge to serve in the best interest of all the community members regardless of diverse backgrounds.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">Je voudrais demander à mes collègues membres de la communauté de croire en la cause pour laquelle je défends ma candidature. Lorsque j'ai assisté à ma première réunion ICANN en tant que membre
 en 2014, la seule chose que j'ai pu récupérer, c'est que toute la communauté est issue d'une culture, d'une langue, d'une race, d'une couleur et d'une ethnie différentes. Cependant, une chose à laquelle nous avons tous souscrit et compris est qu'Internet transcende
 toutes ces barrières et qu'il s'agit de notre langage universel. Je voudrais consacrer mon temps et ma passion au sein d’AFRALO par le biais de mon poste de vice-président, pour apporter la diversité et l’inclusion à tous les membres de notre communauté. Malgré
 de nombreux efforts, la participation africaine à la gouvernance de l’Internet et sa contribution aux problèmes d’Internet ont été limitées. Je crois qu'avec ma passion et mon dévouement et le soutien des membres de la communauté, nous pouvons continuer le
 travail professionnel de représentation des utilisateurs finaux d'Internet en Afrique dans le travail de politique au sein de l'ICANN.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">À travers notre ALS, j'ai travaillé avec l'équipe mondiale d'engagement des parties prenantes de l'ICANN à la conduite de plusieurs programmes de sensibilisation et j'ai aidé d'autres pays
 africains à mettre en place leurs chapitres nationaux sur l'IGF. J'ai récemment été sélectionnée en tant que représentante d'AFRALO au sein de la sous-équipe de procédures ultérieures sur les procédures ultérieures des nouveaux gTLD - Piste 5 - Noms géographiques
 en haut, membre du groupe de travail sur la sensibilisation et l'engagement et du groupe de travail sur les médias sociaux. Je comprends que ce rôle demandera beaucoup de temps et de dévouement et je voudrais m'engager à servir au mieux les intérêts de tous
 les membres de la communauté, quels que soient leurs antécédents.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
