[AFRI-Discuss] CALL FOR A THEME FOR THE JOINT AFRALO/AfrICANN MEETING AT ICANN 52 SINGAPORE - Proposals from the Monthly Call 07 -01-2014

Dear Colleagues,

Many thanks for participating in the monthly call. The following were
proposed as possible themes for the joint meeting slated for
Singapore:

1.      It was agreed that there will be a discussion for a week on
the theme for the meeting in Singapore. AFRALO’s Secretariat will
consolidate comments on this.



The following ideas were proposed as Themes for the AFRALO-AFRICANN
meeting in Singapore.



1. " IANA transition and ICANN accountability seen by the African community'



2. "ICANN Accountability"



3.  "Issues around access in Africa, as Internet access is a problem"



4.  "ICANN accountability post transition implication - Africa perspective"



5.    "Understanding Accountability in ICANN process"

In addition, the following members offered to be part of the drafting team:

1) Seun Ojedeji
2) Janvier Ngnoulaye
3) Beran Gillen
4) Remmy Nweke

We welcome more members to join the team.

We welcome suggestions on the most suitable theme , this should happen
before Wednesday 14 January 2014 after which it will be handed over to
the drafting team to come up with a statement that will be presented
at the Singapore meeting once it has been ratified by the members.

Merci beaucoup pour participer à l'appel mensuelle. Ont été proposé
comme thèmes possibles pour la réunion conjointe prévue pour
Singapour:

1. Il a été convenu qu'il y aura une discussion pendant une semaine
sur le thème de la réunion à Singapour. Le Secrétariat de AFRALO
consolidera commentaires à ce sujet.

2. «La responsabilisation de l'ICANN"



3. "Les questions entourant l'accès en Afrique, que l'accès à Internet
est un problème"



4. «L'ICANN responsabilité après la transition implication -
perspective l'Afrique"



5. «Comprendre la responsabilisation dans processus de l'ICANN"

En outre, les membres suivants ont offert de faire partie de l'équipe
de rédaction:

1) Seun Ojedeji
2) Janvier Ngnoulaye
3) Beran Gillen
4) Remmy Nweke

Nous nous félicitons de plusieurs membres à se joindre à l'équipe.

Nous nous félicitons des suggestions sur le thème le plus approprié,
ce qui devrait se produire avant mercredi 14 Janvier 2014, après quoi
il sera remis à l'équipe de rédaction à venir avec une déclaration qui
sera présentée lors de la réunion de Singapour, une fois qu'il aura
été ratifié par les membres .
