Dear all,

Thank you very much for your nomination and your support. I am really proud to belong to this community that I hope it can remain strongly united despite any opinion divergence which is for me an enrichment when it keeps the respect of each-other as a core value.

I feel honored by your support. While accepting the nomination, I commit to continue working with the same spirit prioritizing the African and the AFRALO interest over any other one.

AFRALO gained in credibility and visibility; As a proof, I can mention the selection of my person as Chair of the Board Member Selection Process Committee in charge of the whole selection process and the organization of the election. It was a great sign of trust and confidence.

Another example is the selection of Mohamed El Bashir, our Vice Chair, as a member representing ALAC in the in the IANA stewardship transition Coordinating Group. Mohamed was selected together with Jean Jacques Subrenat by the selection committee among several names from the 5 regions. He wasn’t nominated by AFRALO, and the selection didn’t have any regional consideration. The Coordination Group, composed of 30 people will provide the final plan for the IANA stewardship transition, and thus impact the future of the Internet Governance. I do hope that AFRALO will continue on the same pace.

Thank you again

Dear All

I am a new member of AFRALO. London's ICANN50 was my first meeting. Tijani

has impressed me with his mastery of the topics discussed in the various

committees and groups where he participated and the clarity with which he

could summarize the issues especially for us newcomers. His experience,

work capacity and willingness to engage new members are an asset to AFRALO,

ALAC and ICANN.

I vote for BARRACK Otieno for Secretary for the following reasons:

1 - his references and experience as stated in ICANN WIKI are convincing.

2 - He hails from East Africa one of the most innovative regions in Africa

for Internet, telecommunications and regional integration as far as the end

user is concerned. I hope he can give us the benefit of that experience.

I am voting for Tijani and Barrack
