[AFRI-Discuss] AFRALO Traveler for ICANN Nairobi Meeting

Hi Douglas and AfRALO list...

As the Chair of the ALAC I would like to remind this list that ALAC
representatives (that is the role Mohamed & Hawa hold with us on the Regions
behalf are expected to represent the *whole* of AfRALO and the ALSes that
constitute it... and the Nom Com appointment for the region (Dave) is to
bring wider general and non ALS represented views to our table... so
whomever you recommend will be called on by me to serve in that capacity and
indeed should be someone active in your region and preferable one who has at
least attended the At-Large Summit last year so they are familiar to the
best extent possible with the expected role...  That said just like who you
appoint to BE your regional representative(s) on the ALAC the choice is up
to the RALO... and the same performance criteria and attendance measures
will apply to who ever goes as an ALAC sponsored traveler as applies to the
whole of the ALAC and Regional Leaders supported by constituency travel
funding...
